AuthMind Recognized in Recent 2023 Gartner® Report on Emerging Tech

Updated: Dec 19

We are excited to be included in the new Gartner® Emerging Tech: Mitigate Advanced Persistent Threats in SaaS and Cloud report¹. Gartner continues to recognize the significant role that identity threat detection and response (ITDR) plays in defending cloud-based applications and services against potentially devastating cyberattacks.

We founded AuthMind on the belief that identity is the new security perimeter.  In today’s world, adversaries don’t hack in, they log in. Even though most organizations have made major investments in identity security solutions, identity infrastructure remains a favorite target for threat actors. We believe that this Gartner report validates our long-held belief that businesses must take a more proactive approach to identifying and remediating identity-based attacks.

Gartner advises organizations to “improve security operations and threat prevention through proactive defense and response.”  Some of the report’s specific ITDR recommendations include:

●       “Encourage and support the development of a comprehensive ITDR program that includes automated enforcement against suspicious behavior, incident response plans, training for employees and ongoing monitoring/analysis of security events.

●       Leverage and support the integration and use of ITDR tools with protection emphasis on privileged accounts such as machine-to-machine, application-to-application credentials, and developer credential use monitoring.

●       Prefer solutions that decentralize and broaden anomaly triage by doing multisensory threat detection and triage on multiple data points."

We are proud to be included as a Sample Vendor for Improve Security Operations and Threat Prevention Through Proactive Defense and Response in the Gartner report. Last year, AuthMind was also recognized as a  Gartner Cool Vendor™ in Identity-First Security

Identity has emerged as the new perimeter as the digital landscape evolves, making ITDR increasingly crucial, especially considering that 84% of organizations faced identity-related breaches in 2022.

AuthMind, a comprehensive solution for ITDR and identity security posture management (ISPM), offers unmatched visibility into all identity activities across various environments, including on-premises, multi-cloud, and SaaS. This visibility extends to unmanaged identities and unidentified assets, enabling identity and threat teams to swiftly pinpoint and address identity-related blind spots such as shadow assets, unauthorized local accounts, and missing multi-factor authentication. Furthermore, AuthMind streamlines incident investigations by providing security and operation center (SOC) teams with full identity and access context.
